ABOUT THE FISHING:
We recommend salmon fishing in the Karasjok River, a beautiful river with a variety of fishing spots and awesome landscape. The river is in total 366 km long, flowing from the Finish boarder down to the sea in Tana. Karasjok River is divided in many fishing zones and side rivers. Not all zones are open for visitors, some zone are just for the locals. That’s why a guide comes in handy to show you the best fishing spots. The river will span from 20-60 meters, with deep pools, fast sections, and slower pars along the meandering way.
Salmon from northern Norway are famous worldwide for their size, and make up a large proportion of all Atlantic salmon in the world
The best weeks of the year for river fishing will vary from river to river. The biggest fish tend to be caught earlier in the season, from middle of June.
The river Karasjok is famously known for the size of its salmon, 20+kg salmons are caught every year.
You can fish for salmon at any time of the day, thanks to the beautiful Midnight Sun at summertime.
